We’re looking for a General Manager to join us at West Bridgford Colts FC, a thriving community football club dedicated to providing high-quality grassroots football for our local community. With over 130 teams across all age groups – including 28 girls’ teams and 6 senior teams – we offer children and young adults the opportunity to play football in a safe and inclusive environment.

What you’ll be doing as General Manager West Bridgford Colts FC:
- You’ll work closely with our Board of Trustees, Operations Team, and Club Secretary, acting as the central point of coordination for our club's activities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the club, working closely with the Board of Trustees, Operations Team, and Club Secretary to ensure operations align with the club’s culture and values
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining club policies, procedures, and operational plans, including risk management, health and safety, and welfare compliance
- Supporting budget monitoring and financial administration in collaboration with the Treasurer
- Managing all internal and external communications, including the website, social media, newsletters, and coordination with team managers to ensure consistent messaging
- Acting as a primary point of contact for members, parents, and external stakeholders, building strong relationships with local leagues, the FA, and community partners
- Leading the recruitment, onboarding, support, and development of volunteers across all areas of the club, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and equipped to succeed
- Supporting the planning and delivery of club events, tournaments, social activities, fundraising initiatives, and sponsorship opportunities
What we’re looking for in a General Manager:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in coordinating people, whether through volunteer management, community work, or team leadership
- Proficiency with digital communications tools and social media platforms
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when required
- Knowledge of FA regulations and grassroots football structures
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Event planning and coordination
