Are you a politically astute, visionary leader with a proven ability to navigate the complexities of local government? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Director to lead a high-performing Strategy & Governance service.
In this pivotal role at the heart of the Council, you will shape and drive the organisation’s strategy, governance, and performance culture. You’ll lead a diverse portfolio including Legal & Democratic Services, HR, Audit and Performance, Research & Consultation.
We are seeking an experienced senior leader with a track record of delivering high-impact change, leading cross functional teams, and driving continuous improvement. Your ability to influence at the highest levels and build trusted relationships will be key to success in this role.
