The Role

Are you passionate about providing excellent catering services within a supportive and rewarding environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our Adult Social Care Team at Greenfield House Resource Centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with food preparation and cooking
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety
  • Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is desirable
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
