We are looking for a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our Transformation Team within the Resources Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering West Berkshire Council\’s Accommodation Review Programme, an initiative focused on optimising our use of space and improving how we work across the organisation.
You\’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, working closely with senior stakeholders and colleagues across the council. If you\’re passionate about delivering change, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a strong background in project management, we\’d love to hear from you.
The role
- Lead and manage accommodation-related projects within the Transformation Programme.
- Deliver projects using WBC\’s Project Management Methodology and governance framework.
- Provide regular updates to the Programme Manager, Transformation Director, and stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong working relationships across departments to support project delivery.
- Promote the Council\’s values and ensure equality, health and safety, and customer service standards are upheld.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications, skills and attributes
- Project Management professional qualification.
- At least 3 years\’ experience in project management.
- Experience of working in a public sector environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
This role is fixed term until 31/12/2025 – Time limited project.
