Overview
Project Engineer (Traffic & Road Safety) – 00315. West Berkshire Council is looking for a Project Engineer in the Highways Network Management Team. The role offers development opportunities in Traffic and Road Safety, with a package that may include further professional development, flexible working hours and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Responsibilities
- Manage the design and construction of a variety of Traffic and Road Safety highway improvement projects.
- Involvement in accident investigation and prevention work.
- Assist other teams within the Council by offering Traffic and Road Safety advice for new and existing signing and lining schemes and TROs and TTROs.
Qualifications
- Qualified to Degree level or equivalent, with proven experience in the design, management and supervision of Traffic and Road Safety highway improvement schemes and small highway engineering projects.
- Knowledge of TROs and TTRO processes.
- Experience with AccMAps and AutoCad Base signing and Lining design packages is ideal.
