Are you an experienced leader in business support services looking for an exciting new challenge? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Service Lead - Business Support to join our Transformation Service, reporting to the Service Director - Transformation, Customer & ICT. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of essential business services within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing the Business Support Team, ensuring the effective delivery of business support services across the organisation.
- Working collaboratively with other service leads to identify and implement improvements in service delivery and efficiency.
- Overseeing the management of business support requests, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on business support processes and best practices.
- You will be a key point of contact for business support enquiries, working closely with senior managers and elected members to provide administrative support and facilitate effective communication.
About You
- Extensive experience in a business support role within a public sector environment.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
- Good knowledge of business support processes, including administration, customer service, and IT.
