Are you an organised and motivated individual with a passion for providing administrative support within a legal environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Part Time (2-3 days a week) Legal Administrator to join our busy and dynamic Legal and Democratic Services team, reporting to the Principal Lawyer - People.
Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the legal team, including document preparation, filing, and correspondence.
- Managing and organising legal files and records.
- Assisting with the scheduling and coordination of meetings, hearings, and tribunals.
- Maintaining accurate databases and information systems.
- Handling general enquiries and providing information to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive and professional attitude.
