West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and motivated Housing Income Officer to join our Housing Service team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a rewarding role, supporting residents in managing their rent accounts and enabling access to support services.

The Role

  • As a Housing Income Officer, you will be the first point of contact for residents seeking advice and support regarding housing charges, rent, and service payments.
  • Providing high-quality advice and information to residents on housing income matters.
  • Ensuring effective income collection and management, working closely with Housing Management Officers to maximise rent and service charge recovery.
  • Supporting residents in claiming relevant benefits and financial assistance.
  • Conducting regular reviews and assessments of housing income.
  • Collaborating with other teams and external organisations to provide comprehensive support to residents.
  • Maintaining accurate records and providing reports on income and collection performance.

  • Experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of housing income and rent management.
