Are you an organised and efficient administrator looking for a new challenge within a supportive and inclusive working environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Business Support Administrator to join the Quality Assurance & Safeguarding Team (QAAS), based at Market Street Offices in West Berkshire.
Responsibilities
Working as a Business Support Administrator in QAAS is a specialist role, for which you will receive comprehensive training. You will play a crucial part in providing administrative support to assist the service to meet its& statutory responsibilities. Reporting to the Business Support Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
- Providing administrative support to the Independent Reviewing Officers / Child Protection Chairs, Foster Carer Reviewing Officer and Local Authority Designated Officer in the execution of their roles.
- Tracking statutory completion timeframes and taking action where necessary to ensure these are met within the service.
- Arranging and minuting statutory child protection conferences.
- Producing and distributing the minutes and plans arising from the child protection conferences.
- Arranging statutory reviews for Children In Care and distributing the minutes and plans from the reviews.
- Ensuring accurate recording and maintenance of performance data for the purpose of reports and analysis, this includes data cleansing activity where inaccuracies are found.
- Supporting the Business Support Manager with financial administration, such as processing invoices.
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the service.
To Excel In This Role, You Should Have
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively to ensure statutory timescales are met.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of your work.
- Proficient IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to take accurate minutes in meetings.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good experience of minuting meetings
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
