Are you a passionate and experienced clinical leader ready to make a lasting impact on the quality and safety of services for women, babies, children and young people? West and North London Integrated Care Board is seeking an exceptional Head of Quality for Maternity, Neonates, Children and Young People (CYP) to provide strategic leadership and expert oversight of quality, patient safety and clinical effectiveness across commissioned services. This is a rare opportunity to influence care at system level, improve outcomes for local communities, and drive meaningful change across one of the most diverse health systems in the country.

We are NHS West and North London. We are the main commissioning NHS organisation for planning and funding health services across our area. Our job is simple: to help people stay healthy and to make sure everyone can get good care when they need it. We bring together many health and care services across west and north London. This means we help hospitals, GPs, community services, councils and charities work better together for local people. NHS West and North London (WNL) serves over 4.5 million people and covers 13 London boroughs.

We are looking for a highly credible and influential senior leader who can build strong partnerships and inspire improvement across complex organisations. You will have:

  • Current registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • A master's degree or equivalent senior-level experience in a health-related field.
  • Significant experience leading quality, patient safety, governance or clinical standards programmes at senior level within the NHS.
  • A strong understanding of Integrated Care Boards, Integrated Care Systems, commissioning and the wider healthcare landscape.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead change and drive measurable improvements in service quality and patient outcomes.
  • A commitment to reducing inequalities, promoting inclusion and ensuring the voices of patients, families and communities inform decision-making.

The post is expected to be advertised for 2 weeks, with interviews provisionally planned for the week commencing 12th October 2026, subject to the outcome of the recruitment process.
