Are you ready to advance your Operational Technology skills? Our Operations Technology (OT) team is seeking an experienced Technician to join a talented group of experts supporting control systems across every sector of our business.
The OT team provides technical support to critical processing systems, such as PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and various communication systems.
What you\’ll do
This is a hands-on role that will see you joining a dedicated team carrying out enhancements to increase the security of our control system assets as well as supporting the day-to-day running of our critical sites.
You will work across water treatment, wastewater and pumping station facilities, which involve a wide range of technologies. You will provide innovative technical solutions and support to divisional engineering teams.
We recognise that this is a complex and challenging role, so ongoing development and training opportunities in all areas will be on offer to the right individuals.
Please note that this role can be based anywhere within our region, including Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Bristol and Bath.
What you\’ll need
- Experience in an OT environment with working knowledge of industrial control systems and associated communication systems is essential.
- A minimum Level 3 ElectricalQualification (BS7671 desirable).
- A free-thinking, can-do attitude with a flexible approach to the everyday problems you will encounter.
- Know how to connect with others and pride yourself on being proactive and bringing positive, bright ideas to the team.
- Be able to take responsibility for tasks and projects you\’ve been assigned.
- Be able to manage your own time and adapt to change.
- Be driven to succeed, aspire to excellence and challenge the status quo.
- A full UK driving licence as the role is regionally based and will involve travelling to our sites.
You must be customer-focused and be an excellent communicator at all levels of the organisation, so you can develop close working relationships with peers across the business. Our OT Technicians will possess keen business and commercial awareness and be able to effectively manage their workload to operate independently with minimal supervision.
