In this varied role, supporting the Finance team, you will ensure the effective operation of regulatory financial controls and processes, enabling accurate regulatory reporting and timely responses to regulator information requests.
What you'll do
- Analyse regulatory information and reconciliations to previous returns and current expenditure.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure regulatory requirements are agreed and met.
- Produce ‘Annual Performance Report' tables and narratives.
- Liaise with external auditors in the completion of the ‘Annual Performance Report'.
- Provide financial information and support for periodic reviews.
- Understand, maintain and develop regulatory reporting structures within the finance system.
- Ensure the company complies with regulatory accounting rules and guidelines and their interpretation.
- Lead on external financial benchmarking exercises.
What you'll need
- Part or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW).
- Previous experience in the regulated UK Water industry (preferable).
- Advanced PC skills, especially Excel.
- Strong process and control disciplines.
- The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals at all levels.
