Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you have proven experience as a Project Manager with an engineering degree or similar? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our YTL Construction (Infrastructure) team as a Project Manager, responsible for leading the delivery of sewer networks, storm overflow, sewerage, potable water, design and construction projects. We are welcoming applicants who are based across the region, with the ideal candidate being based across the South West, including Taunton, Bournemouth, Poole and Bath.
What you’ll do
- Lead projects to ensure completion within safety, time, quality and cost parameters.
- Maintain control of multiple, complex and evolving multi-disciplinary projects at various stages of delivery.
- Build and maintain working relationships with commercial partners, customers and third-party organisations throughout the project delivery process, whilst maintaining commercial control.
- Ensure effective and efficient resource management.
- Lead on contract negotiations to deliver best value.
- Deliver up to £50 million worth of projects over a five-year period enabling improved project solutions leading to cost reductions and improved health and safety.
- Undertake project reviews and audits to promote ongoing quality and procedural improvements.
What you’ll need
- Experience managing the delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects, preferably in the water or utilities industry.
- A record of managing the full project life cycle from concept, through to design and construction, to the commissioning of engineering projects.
- Educated to degree level in a related discipline or equivalent experience/professionally qualified.
- A working knowledge of health and safety and CDM regulations.
- Construction management experience, both office-based and on-site.
- Good planning and organisational skills with effective decision-making.
- The ability to present confidently to non-industry people.
- The ability to organise yourself, individuals and teams, motivating all towards achieving the successful completion of projects.
