About the Role

Wessex LMCs is establishing a bank of skilled nursing professionals to provide structured support to our office team and help us deliver high quality resources for nurses and HCAs in general practice. This is an internal facing role; designed to influence and improve the resources, education and guidance we provide to nurses and HCAs working in general practice. The role is offered on an ad-hoc, non-employed, consultancy-style basis and is intended to fit flexibly around your existing professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing insight and advice to the LMC team on nursing-related queries.
  • Contribute to our quarterly nursing newsletter.
  • Work with our education and training team to shape the nursing education offer.
  • Help keep our website content relevant and up to date.
  • Provide insight on national and local nursing issues impacting General Practice.

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently practising as a patient-facing Practice Nurse or ANP currently working in the Wessex LMCs area.
  • Someone with a positive approach and a passion for nursing.
  • Willing to collaborate and share your expertise to improve resources for nursing teams.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to work independently.
  • Someone with your own IT Equipment to use.

What We Offer

  • Flexible, ad-hoc working to suit your schedule with no obligation to accept work.
  • A team of like-minded people to work with shaping nursing support across Wessex.
  • Typically up to 6 hours per month, depending on demand.
  • An hourly rate in the region of £19.78 – £42.50, depending on experience.
  • An opportunity to influence nursing education and support across Wessex.
  • Remote working, with occasional in-person meetings with the LMC team as required.
