We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to fabricate and assemble components from sheet metal. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our products, contributing to our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG/MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications.
  • Assemble components and structures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Fabricate parts from sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve issues related to welding operations.
  • Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication tasks.
  • Basic computer skills to manage and process job bookings.

Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in TIG welding; additional experience in stick welding is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
  • Familiarity with working on sheet metal and understanding its properties.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in all welding tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
  • Able to maintain focus on batch work and repetitive tasks.
