Join to apply for the Network Surveyor role at Wessex Internet
We’re a fast-growing, innovative broadband provider bringing full-fibre connectivity to rural communities across the South West — including Dorset, Somerset, the New Forest, and now expanding into Wiltshire. Unlike most alternative networks, we design, build, and operate our own fibre network, ensuring every connection meets our high standards of quality and reliability.
As a Network Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in helping us design and deliver our expanding FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) network. Reporting to the Senior Network Surveyor, you’ll work closely with our Network Planning and Construction teams to assess, record, and plan network infrastructure in both overhead and underground environments.
Your work will directly support our Geographic Information System (GIS) by capturing accurate data and providing detailed documentation for new fibre network builds.
What’s in it for you?
- 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays)
- Option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days
- Enhanced family pay
- Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance & Income Protection
- Cycle to Work & Tech Schemes
- 75% discount on Wessex Internet broadband package
- Regular social events & free onsite parking
- Opportunities for career progression in a fast-growing business

- Perform duct and chamber inspections to assess suitability for network use.
- Validate network designs and report any risks that could affect delivery timelines.
- Carry out site assessments to identify improvements or maintenance needs.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Service Delivery teams to meet project goals.
