Are you ready to lead from the front in a role that truly makes a difference? At Wessex Internet, we’re not just laying cables—we’re transforming lives by bringing full fibre broadband to some of the UK’s most underserved rural communities.

As an award-winning, fast-growing broadband provider, we design, build, and manage our own full fibre network. Having recently been named Fibre Provider of the Year 2023, we’ve doubled in size over the past 18 months—and we’re just getting started. With expansion into the New Forest, Wiltshire, and South & West Dorset, now’s the perfect time to join us.

We\'re passionate about delivering a best-in-class customer experience, and fast, effective responses to technical and network issues are central to that promise. That’s where you come in.

As Network Manager, you’ll take the lead in shaping our operational approach to network management. This is a key role in which you\'ll define and implement the systems, processes, and strategies that keep our growing network running smoothly—all while empowering your team to deliver exceptional results.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage the Network Operations team, ensuring strong performance and development.
  • Define and track KPI/OKRs with the CTO, aligning team goals with business priorities.
  • Oversee and improve incident response, fault resolution, and network support processes.
  • Manage relationships and technical escalations with third-party network providers.
  • Collaborate with Sales to provide technical solutions and support for customer requirements.
  • Own the product and service roadmap from concept through to launch.
  • Drive continuous improvement of network tools and procedures in line with CI/CD principles.
  • Coordinate engineer deployment to ensure swift and effective fault resolution.
  • Help evolve both internal systems and external-facing services alongside the CTO.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience leading technical/network teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong track record in operational leadership, performance management, and service delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of data connectivity products and multi-vendor environments.
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
  • UK driving licence required.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Qualifications in network/security (CISSP, CCNA/P).
  • Experience with ITIL or eTOM frameworks.
  • Background in Change Management.

What We Offer:

  • Up to £60,000 starting salary + 10% performance bonus
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days
  • Private medical insurance, life assurance & income protection
  • Cycle to Work & tech purchase schemes
  • Enhanced family leave policies
  • 75% discount on staff broadband
  • High street discounts with over 100 major brands
  • Summer & Christmas socials

If you\'re ready to take the next step in your career and help connect rural communities to future-ready broadband, apply now and be part of something bigger. At Wessex Internet, we’re building more than just networks—we’re building futures.
