Dedicated to delivering lightning-fast broadband to thousands of countryside homes and businesses, we design, build, and operate our own network to ensure every connection meets our high standards.
We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team. The Role involves looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to help minimise the risk of job-related accidents. You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities and develop policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness. Your work will focus on prevention, requiring diligence and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and ongoing review of hazard assessments (Risk, COSHH, Noise etc)
- Assist in the development of policy and processes
- Be a regular presence on site to carry out safety audits and provide advice and assistance
- Review all areas of the business and identify areas for improvement
- Manage testing and servicing of company plant and equipment
- Maintain records
- Assist in the development of statutory documents
- Deliver Toolbox Talks and process reviews
- Carry out incident investigations
- Carry out data entry from accidents, near misses, service strikes and RTAs
- Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the H&S Manager
Requirements:
- An approachable, flexible and proactive individual
- Good communication skills
- The ability to stand in front of groups and deliver Toolbox Talks and safety briefings
- Ability to work independently on projects
- Enjoy working with others and encourage discussions around safety
- NEBOSH General certificate (minimum required)
- NEBOSH Construction certificate would be desirable but not essential
- Member IOSH
- Understanding of construction/utilities safety
- A full driving licence and own car
- Willingness to undertake further training and study as required
