Wessex Internet is an award-winning, fast-growing broadband provider revolutionising rural connectivity across the Southwest. As we expand into the New Forest, Wiltshire, and South & West Dorset, we are looking for a driven legal professional to join our internal Legal team and play a key role in our network rollout. In this vital position, you’ll lead on securing the wayleaves, easements, and leases that enable us to deliver full fibre broadband to rural communities. From negotiating with landowners and solicitors to supporting our Rural Planning team with expert guidance, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to connect more homes and businesses—faster and smarter.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead negotiations and completion of wayleaves, easements, and leases for our fibre network
- Oversee the progress of bespoke wayleave agreements and ensure timely completions
- Negotiate directly with solicitors acting for landowners
- Support and guide Rural Planners on land access and legal queries
- Assist with Land Registry queries when needed
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified solicitor, legal executive, or candidate with equivalent experience (minimum 2 years PQE)
- Solid understanding of property law (knowledge of the Electronic Communications Code is a plus)
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
