You’ll work closely with the Town Manager and Cable & Survey Supervisor to make sure our teams are working safely, efficiently and consistently, while keeping delivery on track against KPIs and expected delivery dates.

You’ll directly lead one team while providing wider support and direction across the other three.

You’ll also act as a key support to the Town Manager and Cable & Survey Supervisor, including attending Multi-Site Visits, helping resolve operational issues and stepping in wherever your experience is needed.

  • What You’ll Get
  • A salary between £36,500 - £38,500 dependent on experience.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days.
  • Private medical insurance & life assurance.
  • Cycle to Work & Tech purchase schemes.
  • Enhanced family leave policies.
  • Staff broadband discount (75%).
  • High street discounts on 100+ brands.
  • Summer & Christmas team socials.
  • Career development opportunities
  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead across all four Cable & Survey teams, directly managing one team while providing consistency, support and direction to the wider Team Leader group.
  • Support the Town Manager and Cable & Survey Supervisor with resource planning, workload prioritisation, operational decisions and delivery against KPIs and Expected Delivery Dates.
  • Provide technical and operational support in the field, including surveys, route assessments, cabling, troubleshooting and complex jobs where additional experience or leadership is required.
  • Act as a senior point of contact across Cable & Survey, supporting Team Leaders with problem solving, performance, standards, training and development.
  • Represent the team operationally, including attending Multi-Site Visits (MSVs), liaising with other departments and escalating risks, delays or resourcing issues.
  • Drive consistent standards across all four teams, particularly around Health & Safety, quality, productivity, communication and accurate recording of survey and installation information.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Strong experience within Cable & Survey, with a good understanding of fibre installation, surveying, overhead and underground infrastructure and Wessex Internet processes.
  • Previous leadership or Team Leader experience, with the ability to support and influence other Team Leaders while directly managing your own team.
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical capability, including interpreting network designs, carrying out surveys and resolving issues on site.
  • Confident decision-maker and problem solver, able to take ownership, prioritise competing demands and provide effective support to the Town Manager and Supervisor.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills, with the ability to work effectively with Construction, Planning, Connections, Project Managers and other teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and relevant tickets/qualifications required for the role, with PIA, NRSWA, IPAF, working-at-height or other relevant telecoms qualifications advantageous.
