As our network construction activity continues to scale, we are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our HSEQ team. Reporting to the Head of HSEQ, this role plays an important part in supporting the delivery of our health & safety approach across the business. You will provide practical, expert guidance to operational teams, helping to ensure that risk is effectively managed and that high standards of compliance are maintained in a fast‑paced environment.

What you’ll do:
- Support the implementation of health and safety processes across operational teams
- Provide day‑to‑day advice and guidance on health, safety and risk management
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, internal policies and industry standards
- Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching and site presence
- Support incident investigations and ensure follow‑up actions are implemented
- Monitor safety performance and contribute to reporting and insights
- Assist with risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work
- Work collaboratively with the wider HSEQ team to maintain standards
What you’ll bring:
- Core requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience in construction, utilities or telecoms
- Good knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
- Experience supporting site teams and operational safety
- Confident communicator with a practical, solutions‑focused approach
- Additional experience:
- Experience working under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM)
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Proven ability to operate autonomously across multiple sites
- Experience leading incident investigations end‑to‑end, including root cause analysis
- Exposure to safety management systems (e.g. ISO 45001) or audits
- Experience working with and challenging contractors or third parties
