As we continue on an exciting growth journey, we are looking for a driven, competitive and commercially minded Business Development Manager to take ownership of our well-established Midlands region.
This is a highly varied, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on winning, building relationships and working within a team of high performers.
The Role
- Growing and developing an established territory by working closely with our dealer network and generating new opportunities through direct end-user engagement.
- Actively prospecting and generating new business opportunities with end users.
- Carrying out on-site machinery demonstrations at customer locations.
- Representing Wessex at exhibitions, trade shows and events.
- Confidently presenting Wessex products to groups of customers and stakeholders.
- Using our CRM system daily to manage opportunities, pipeline activity and customer relationships.
- Working collaboratively with the wider UK team to achieve shared growth targets.
- Providing market insight and feedback to support continuous improvement.
About You
- Competitive by nature and motivated by targets, performance and success.
- Highly driven, proactive and fanatical about prospecting.
- Comfortable working remotely while thriving as part of a high-performing team.
- Equally confident delivering a hands-on demo on a golf course or farm as presenting in a meeting room.
- Organised, disciplined and comfortable working every day with a powerful CRM system.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in the agricultural and/or groundcare markets.
- A practical mindset and willingness to get your hands dirty during demonstrations.
- Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisation, follow-up and pipeline management skills.
