- Recognise early warning signs and implement preventative and de-escalation strategies.
- Provide calm, clear direction during incidents involving aggression, violence, absconding or property destruction.
- Promote de-escalation and least restrictive approaches before physical intervention is considered, wherever practicable.

- Support colleagues after incidents and contribute to structured debriefing.
- Ensure incidents, injuries, restrictive interventions and safeguarding concerns are documented accurately and escalated appropriately.
- Monitor care records and behavioural observations.
- Support new team members through shadow shifts and competency development.
- Promote dignity, independence, choice and least restrictive practice.

- Strong experience managing physical aggression and behavioural escalation.
- Demonstrable experience using effective de-escalation strategies.
- Experience of physical intervention or restraint within an appropriate care setting.
- Experience following PBS plans, behavioural risk assessments and complex care plans.
