Make a Difference in our Cyber Team. The Cyber function sits within the Technology & Transformation directorate and is responsible for protecting the Society’s systems, people and data from cyber threats. The team provides frontline operational security, applying robust governance, processes and standards to safeguard the organisation in an evolving threat landscape. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, the department operates and assures security controls, carries out prescribed audits and continuously strengthens the Society’s security posture.

The Senior Technical Security Analyst provides technical security oversight across technology change initiatives, including cloud, digital and third‑party engagements. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, the role ensures security is embedded into solution design, architecture and delivery, providing authoritative advice on technical risks, vulnerabilities and mitigations. The role supports the Cyber team by monitoring and analysing security controls, tools, and network and host activity to identify threats and indicators of compromise. It also plays a key part in incident response, supporting containment, recovery, forensic analysis and post‑incident activity, while coordinating with relevant stakeholders as required. In addition, the role contributes to management reporting and briefings, helping to provide clear visibility of cyber risks and threats affecting the Society and its critical partners.

Your Impact Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

  • Provide technical security oversight for transformation projects, including reviewing technical designs, configurations, and controls, and offering expert security and IT guidance.
  • Support the Cyber team in monitoring security alerts and ITSM requests, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Support penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security reviews, coordinating remediation across internal teams and third‑party vendors.
  • Contribute to governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities, including ISO 27001, GDPR, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Assist in evaluating and strengthening security and IT controls across cloud and on‑premises environments and systems, including those leveraging AI.
  • Collaborate with IT teams (including Outsourced teams) to implement and uphold security best practices.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in the financial services sector.
  • Practical, hands‑on experience with network and operating system security, across both cloud and on‑premises environments, including server management, SIEM platforms, DLP, WAF, IPS, and endpoint security tooling.
  • Good understanding of key compliance and regulatory standards, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with clear and effective communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of core cyber security principles and best practices.

Benefits That Work for You. We believe rewards should reflect the life you live. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Annual bonus to recognise your contribution.
