Our Procurement & Supplier Management (P&SM) team plays a vital role in ensuring Wesleyan secures best‑value, future‑proofed goods and services across a supplier landscape of around 465 vendors and £50m annual spend. We partner closely with stakeholders across the business to manage supply chain risks, drive commercial value, optimise supplier performance, and uphold high governance standards.

- Identify and deliver cost savings across the supply chain, contributing directly to financial performance.
- Evaluate supplier markets, producing insight‑rich analysis to support decision-making.
- Lead tender processes, driving competition and shaping value-driven outcomes.
- Negotiate supplier agreements that secure optimal commercial and contractual terms for Wesleyan.
- Proactively identify supply chain risks and take action to mitigate or manage them effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the most efficient and strategic routes of supply.
- Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes to enhance capability, efficiency, and reputation.
What You’ll Bring:
- You’re a commercially minded professional with a strong track record in managing end‑to‑end procurement processes.
- Experience in indirect procurement, contract management, supplier negotiations, and market/category analysis.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels.
- A proven ability to build effective relationships, influence decisions, and act as a trusted authority in your category areas.
- Analytical problem-solver with excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
- Highly organised, able to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable interpreting financial information and performing calculations to maximise commercial opportunity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Dynamics 365 Supply Chain and KY3P is desirable (full training provided).
- Skilled at producing management information, supplier reports, sourcing insights, and performance metrics.
- Able to uphold the reputation of P&SM through professional, consistent, and value-led interactions.
