Salary: Up to £32,000, based on skills and experience

Contract Type: 12 months Fixed Term Contract – 35 hours a week

Make a Difference in Finance

This role sits within our busy Finance department who are responsible for ensuring our financial transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with business requirements. The team works closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure transaction processes are effective, fit for purpose, and support operational needs.

A strong focus is placed on identifying and implementing continuous improvement as part of day‑to‑day activity, with insights and recommendations regularly reported to senior stakeholders to drive ongoing efficiency and best practice.

Your Impact

Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

  • Process the business payments when required for purchase ledger, manual payments, chaps, intercompany transfers, regulatory pay‑overs and any other business payments.
  • Ensure payments are made within SLA (Service Level Agreement).
  • Assist in the daily and monthly reporting for both General Insurance and Fairs 3rd party business.
  • Bank and print daily cheques when required to support the operations team on daily duties.
  • Prepare the daily/monthly journals to post income receipts to the nominal ledger and expense journals at month end.
  • Review and update process notes.
  • Support in internal and external audits when required.
  • Support the Investigation and resolution of any discrepancies that are generated from daily reports. Increasing knowledge and understanding of business processes.
  • Be able to run and produce monthly reports for business areas when required and seek support from Finance Analyst in understanding and explaining data requested.

  • Must have good communication skills and confidence to work closely with stakeholders
