The purpose of this role is to take full ownership of the core technology and software systems for our GI division; CDL, Acturis and Millstream while also representing GI in the development of the Group CRM systems and Data functions. You’ll play a key part in helping us be a Lifelong Partner to the customers we serve. You will be solely responsible for the performance, stability, and continuous improvement of the GI systems. This involves ensuring systems are aligned to business needs, effectively providing a great experience for our GI colleagues and customers. You’ll also provide business support from a number of analytical tools, including PowerBI and Dynamics.
Your Impact
- Co‑manage the day-to-day relationship between Wesleyan and the IT system suppliers (CDL and Acturis), ensuring service levels are consistently met.
- Be the first point of contact for all GI products in respect of system issues and provide daily support to users for example password reset, user setups and system outage.
- Keep on top of all overnight backups and routines daily to ensure the continuous availability of business systems and data.
- Proactively identify and implement smarter, more efficient ways to use our systems and processes to support business growth, while working closely with the GI team to develop their skills and improve how they use these systems.
- Consult with software suppliers (CDL and Acturis) to resolve technical issues to ensure continued service delivery.
- Manage the system development of GI Communications – Ensure GI is using the latest system upgrade required for CDL.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience within GI broking.
- Experience working with the current main GI operating system (Cheshire Data – CDL and Acturis) in respect of system development/MI reports.
- Excellent IT Skills including CDL, MS Office packages i.e. Access, Excel, and Word.
- SQL Experience – For CDL Development.
- Desirable: Project management experience & ACII (Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute) or working towards.
