Your role: Are you an organised, proactive person who enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for a friendly and supportive team member to join our Legal team and play an important part in keeping our busy function running efficiently. In this role, you'll provide day-to-day administrative support to our Legal colleagues, while also helping the wider Society with tasks such as managing our contracts database, supporting dispute tracking and preparing submissions for committees.

This is a part time role working 21 hours per week with the hours being split over five days (Monday to Friday).

What you'll be doing:

  • The role will involve performing administrative activity to support the Legal team and wider Society.
  • This will include completing work trackers and submitting information to committees.
  • It will involve use of the Society's contracts' database (proprietary software), and advanced use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Processing contract approvals, managing approvals and arranging contract signatures.
  • Working closely with Legal team members and Society stakeholders, especially Procurement and Supplier Management.
  • Managing a number of internal trackers which report on workload and progress on work being undertaken by the Legal team.
  • Providing administrative support including diary management and meeting agendas.
  • Supporting the Society with tracking and reporting on disputes.

We're looking for:

We'd love to hear from you if you're someone who brings positivity, curiosity and a willingness to get stuck in. You'll be joining a small, enthusiastic team, so being supportive and happy to help others is really important. Here are some of the key skills and qualities we're looking for:

  • Great communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Confidence using MS Office, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Strong time-management and organisational skills
  • A customer (internal) focused mindset and a desire to provide great service
  • Friendly, articulate and approachable, with an inquisitive mind
  • A willingness to learn and take on a wide variety of tasks
  • Experience with contracts is helpful, but not essential

Benefits:

  • Annual Performance based Bonus – based on a mixture of company and personal performance
  • 28 days annual leave (plus 1 additional "culture day")

Please note this role is subject to regulatory requirements. As a financial services organisation we are committed to adopting the highest standards and we do this by employing individuals with the appropriate skills, experience and integrity to protect the Wesleyan Group and our customers. Relevant checks and assessments will be carried out during the recruitment process. The nature of the checks will depend on whether the role is subject to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) or the Insurance Distribution Directive. Please note a criminal record check and credit check will apply and this role is also subject to ongoing checks in line with the Group SMCR Framework.
