Your role: Are you an organised, proactive person who enjoys helping others and keeping things running smoothly? We are looking for a friendly and supportive team member to join our Legal team and play an important part in keeping our busy function running efficiently. In this role, you’ll provide day‑to‑day administrative support to our Legal colleagues, while also helping the wider Society with tasks such as managing our contracts database, supporting dispute tracking and preparing submissions for committees. If you enjoy variety and being the go‑to person who keeps everything on track, this could be a great fit for you! This is a part time role working 21 hours per week with the hours being split over five days (Monday to Friday).
What you’ll be doing: The role will involve performing administrative activity to support the Legal team and wider Society. This will include completing work trackers and submitting information to committees. It will involve use of the Society’s contracts’ database (proprietary software), and advanced use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Processing contract approvals, managing approvals and arranging contract signatures;
- Working closely with Legal team members and Society stakeholders, especially Procurement and Supplier Management;
- Managing a number of internal trackers which report on workload and progress on work being undertaken by the Legal team;
- Providing administrative support including diary management and meeting agendas;
- Supporting the Society with tracking and reporting on disputes.
