Our client is seeking a qualified and commercially minded Solicitor to join a specialist remote legal team dealing with property possession, lender litigation and secured debt recovery matters.
In this role, you will independently manage a varied caseload on behalf of lenders and finance providers, with dedicated administrative and paralegal support.
You will handle matters involving secured business loans, bridging finance, legal mortgages, repossessions and enforcement proceedings.
This opportunity is ideal for a Solicitor with strong UK litigation experience who can manage cases efficiently, provide practical legal advice and maintain excellent client relationships.
The position is fully remote and operates during UK working hours.
Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom and be able to travel to Central London for court hearings and trials, ideally within approximately 60 minutes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage property possession matters from instruction through to completion
- Conduct CPR Part 55 possession claims
- Handle repossession and eviction proceedings
- Recover secured business loans and bridging finance
- Enforce legal mortgages and other security documentation
- Prepare money judgment applications
- Obtain interim and final charging orders
- Manage applications for orders for sale
- Develop effective debt recovery and enforcement strategies
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, court applications and legal documents
- Conduct legal research and prepare matters for litigation
- Liaise with lender clients, borrowers, solicitors, estate agents and counsel
- Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice
- Manage deadlines and comply with court procedures and Civil Procedure Rules
- Attend court hearings and trials when required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
- Deliver a professional and responsive service to clients
- What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
- Approximately two or more years’ post-qualification experience
- Candidates with slightly less than two years’ PQE may be considered where they have strong, directly relevant experience
- Previous experience working within the UK legal sector
- Experience in property litigation, property possession, lender litigation, debt recovery or civil litigation
- Strong knowledge of UK court procedures and Civil Procedure Rules
- Ability to independently manage a busy litigation caseload
- Excellent legal drafting and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial awareness and practical problem-solving ability
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote environment
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom
- Availability to work full-time UK working hours
- Ability to travel to Central London for hearings and trials
- Experience using LEAP Practice Management Software will be advantageous
- Advocacy and court attendance experience will be advantageous
