The role involves leading the operational delivery of outputs across the Mowag Programme, ensuring teams have the people, tools, systems, and processes needed to safely deliver high-quality results. You'll play a key role in driving performance, supporting continuous improvement, and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of operational delivery within a programme that supports critical defence capability. You'll combine leadership, planning, customer engagement, and operational oversight to ensure delivery targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Lead the delivery of operational outputs while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build capability and support future business needs.
- Manage operational systems, reporting activities, and fleet management processes to support effective planning and decision-making.
- Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment remain compliant with safety and quality requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers, workshop teams, planners, and support functions to achieve successful programme delivery.
This role is based at Warminster and is a 37-hour per week position. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience includes:
- Experience leading teams and influencing stakeholders across an operational environment.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage at senior site level.
- Understanding of workforce development, training needs, and skills planning.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions to deliver excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of health and safety policies, procedures, and implementation within an operational setting.
Qualifications include:
- Educated to Level 4 in the National Qualification Framework (Higher Apprenticeship, HNC, Level 4 NVQ) or equivalent workplace experience.
- Experience using fleet management and operational management systems.
- Competent user of SAP ERP, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office applications.
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
