The role:
- As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, inspection, storage, and issue of materials that keep our defence projects running.
- This is a hands‑on role where accuracy and attention to detail matter.
- Day‑to‑day, you’ll help maintain operational readiness and support the delivery of critical equipment to our customers, making a real difference to national security while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Actioning the receipt of consignments within the Goods Inward Department using MJDIChecking consignments in line with Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) policies
- Managing material requirements for Equipment Support and General Support Materiel
- Operating Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently
- Supporting accurate storage and issue processes to meet customer requirements
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch.
Essential experience:
- Trained in the use of Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
- Ability to work accurately and follow compliance procedures
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
