We are looking for a Van Pack Drainage Engineer to join our Utility Division on the Thames Water contract, delivering solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.
Location: Thames Water Iver South, Colnbrook, Berkshire
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours plus every other weekend (working both early mornings and late evenings)
Salary: OTE £37,000 per annum (basic pay, overtime, on-call allowance, bonuses)

Responsibilities:
- Travel to residential sites in a van, operating a high-pressure water jet for restoration.
- Clean, clear and maintain drainage systems.
- Record each job report correctly on the specialist equipment provided.
- Run diagnostics and repairs on drains.
- Deliver good customer service.
- Maintain good health and safety practice while carrying out works.
- Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.
- Comply with health and safety responsibilities, i.e. PPE / safe site set-ups protecting Lanes Group employees, the public and other road users.
- Utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.
- Work unsupervised in all weather conditions, wearing correct PPE and utilising the lone worker system.
- Dynamically risk-assess site access and working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrival.
- Liaise with the client regarding process and any updates.
- Provide support to your colleagues.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tools, equipment and plant before and after use.
- Report any defects or malfunctions.
- Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
- Any other reasonable ad-hoc tasks, duties or projects as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Hard working, respectful and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Experience with high-pressure jetting equipment useful but not essential.
- Other drainage qualifications (e.g. NRSWA, Confined Spaces) an advantage.
- Full UK driver’s licence; vehicles are manual.
