Lead frontline aviation operations that keep critical defence capability flying. At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Site Operations Manager at our RAF Woodvale site.
The role:
- Take overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day delivery of aircraft operations at RAF Woodvale, ensuring engineering, maintenance, safety, flying operations and support services operate seamlessly to meet contractual and customer requirements.
- Provide clear direction, manage operational performance and work closely with military and civilian stakeholders to ensure high standards of safety, service and compliance are maintained at all times.
- Directly influence operational readiness, team performance and customer confidence.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience leading teams in a regulated operational or aviation environment.
- Strong leadership capability, with confidence managing diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrable problem‑solving ability, using data and sound judgement to drive decisions.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Human Factors qualification.
- Recognised Safety, Health, Environment or Fire qualification.
- Defence or aviation sector experience.
- Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
