The role

As an Apprenticeship Coach, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will ensure apprentices receive exceptional coaching, assessment, and support driving learner success, meeting all contractual and regulatory requirements, and reinforcing Babcock’s reputation for excellence in vocational training.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Visit learners in the workplace to deliver engaging coaching, teaching, and assessments.
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Support learners in developing portfolios and preparing for End Point Assessment.
  • Deliver high-quality, industry-relevant learning sessions that inspire and inform.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback and guidance to stretch and challenge learners.

This role is full time working 37 hours per week and is fully remote.

Essential experience of the Apprenticeship Coach

  • Deliver consistently against Key Performance Indicators by arranging and attending scheduled visits and completing all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Support, motivate, and coach learners throughout their apprenticeship journey, ensuring timely completion of all programme components in line with awarding organisation, ESFA, and Ofsted standards.
  • Monitor and review learner progress regularly, meeting customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation meets the required standards and is submitted within agreed timelines.
  • Provide clear, practical advice and guidance on portfolio building to help learners meet programme requirements effectively.

Qualifications for the Apprenticeship Coach

  • Maths and English – GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • Relevant industry related qualification – Electronics - (minimum of level 3)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check, Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
