The role involves leading and motivating a team of skilled operatives to safely deliver defined packages of work to exacting quality, time and cost standards. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of production activities, drive efficiency improvements and play a key role in delivering major engineering projects that make a real difference.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Lead and motivate a team to safely deliver production work to agreed targets and standards
- Manage workloads to meet contract requirements across cost, quality and delivery timescales
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies and maintain a safe working environment
- Set and monitor daily production targets to drive performance and accountability
- Take ownership of operational activity levels and continuously improve efficiency
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience includes:
- Demonstrating experience supervising teams in a mechanical or production environment
- Managing resources effectively to deliver work within time, cost and quality constraints
- Applying strong knowledge of safe working practices within an engineering setting
- Driving performance through setting targets and monitoring output
- Taking responsibility for production areas and maintaining high operational standards
Qualifications include:
- Time-served with extensive, recent and relevant experience in a mechanical discipline
- ONC or HNC (or equivalent) in a related engineering subject – preferred but not essential
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
