The role involves delivering structured digital information that underpins the design, maintenance, and development of critical infrastructure for the UK Royal Navy. You will innovate, lead and influence, ensuring our digital models and data are accurate, compliant and aligned to project requirements. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to safer operations, world-class engineering outcomes and your own long-term professional growth within a mission-driven, future-focused environment.
The Principal is responsible for day-to-day management of the Project IM Team and accountable for delivery of:
- Creation and management of detailed digital models using Revit and other BIM authoring tools.
- Model federation, clash detection and 4D simulations, using platforms such as Navisworks, Solibri and Synchro.
- Uniclass classifications, COBie data and UK BIM Framework processes to meet information requirements.
- Collaborating with engineering, design and project teams to ensure digital outputs enable effective coordination and delivery.
- Oversight for BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDPs), Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs) and wider digital strategies.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.
Essential experience:
- Familiarity with the UK BIM Framework, ISO 19650, COBie and Uniclass.
- Strong experience using BIM authoring platforms such as Revit.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated environments - Desirable.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering, construction, a scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
