The role

As a Pipe Fitter, you’ll play a vital role in delivering some of the UK’s most important defence and marine engineering programmes. Your expertise will help bring the Type 31 / Inspiration Class frigates to life—ships that will serve the Royal Navy for decades to come. This is hands‑on engineering with purpose. • Prepare pipework through cutting, bending, forming and alignment.
  • Install systems such as fuel, water, fire main, hydraulics and HVAC onboard vessels.

  • Work safely in shipyard environments, including confined spaces and at height.

This is a full‑time position working 36 hours per week, based on site at Rosyth.

Essential experience

  • Strong understanding of pipework installation, fabrication and welding standards.
  • Ability to work confidently from drawings and to tight tolerances.
  • Comfortable working in workshop and onboard vessel environments.
  • Strong teamwork, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications
