The role:

  • As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll play a critical role in driving strategic people initiatives that enable performance, transformation and cultural change across our Marine sector.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to lead at scale—partnering with senior leaders, shaping organisational design, and delivering impactful HR solutions that support nationally important defence and engineering programmes.
  • You’ll be a trusted advisor and influential leader, championing inclusion, innovation, and high performance—while developing your own leadership capability in a complex, purpose-led environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a team of Human Resources Business Partners, driving performance and capability.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic people plans and business transformation initiatives.
  • Delivering complex change programmes aligned to organisational goals.
  • Collaborating with Centres of Expertise and shared services to implement effective HR solutions.
  • Influencing policy, process improvements and cultural initiatives to enhance organisational performance.

This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) based at Devonport or Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available.

Essential experience of the Senior Human Resources Business Partner:

  • Demonstrating significant experience in a senior HR business partnering role within a complex organisation.
  • Leading and developing high-performing HR teams.
  • Applying expertise across employee relations, industrial relations, organisational development and change management.
  • Influencing and engaging senior stakeholders with strong communication skills.
