Responsible for leading the delivery of civil and structural engineering design packages on complex defense infrastructure projects. Must influence major infrastructure programmes, engage with stakeholders, and solve critical engineering challenges.
- Leading the delivery of civil and structural engineering work packages to agreed scope, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
- Managing technical design packages through the entire lifecycle, from identified need to handover.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements and integrate them into design solutions.
- Providing technical leadership, subject-matter expertise, and guidance to engineering and design teams.
- Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, governance and configuration management requirements across all activities.
Full time, 35 hours per week with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience- Demonstrable experience managing and delivering complex engineering design projects throughout the full design lifecycle.
- Strong background in civil and structural design within a comparable engineering or infrastructure environment.
- Knowledge of architectural design principles for industrial buildings and facilities.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing multiple technical interfaces.
- Experience in the design and substantiation of heavy civil engineering and building structures; experience with dry dock structures would be advantageous.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status with relevant professional institution, or significant engineering experience with the capability to achieve compulsory mandatory requirements.
