The role

As a Nuclear Performance Management Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the centre of delivering governance, assurance and performance improvement across nuclear operations. You’ll help ensure safe and compliant delivery by strengthening safety culture, analysing performance data, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in supporting regulatory confidence and risk reduction, while developing your own expertise in a highly regulated and rewarding environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Deliver effective operational governance across the nuclear licensed site
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, site licence conditions and industry best practice
  • Support performance monitoring through analysis of KPIs, PMIs and SPIs to identify trends and improvements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening nuclear safety culture and risk management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed learning, insights and consistent governance practices across operations

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You will be working a minimum of three days on-site.

Essential experience

  • Experience within the nuclear industry, ideally in governance, assurance or compliance
  • Understanding of nuclear safety principles and regulatory frameworks, including Site Licence Conditions
  • Experience monitoring performance using KPIs or similar metrics
  • Ability to support assurance activities such as self-assessment or audit programmes
  • Experience analysing data to identify trends and support risk prioritisation

Qualifications

  • Relevant engineering degree, recognised professional status, or significant experience in a relevant engineering discipline (minimum NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
