Build your career delivering critical defence infrastructure. At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as an Assistant Project Manager at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.

The role:

  • Support the delivery of civil engineering work packages across the programme.
  • Coordinate project activities including planning, cost tracking and scheduling.
  • Assist in defining project scope, requirements and delivery solutions.
  • Manage and support risk and issue processes across work packages.
  • Engage with stakeholders and support communication and reporting activities.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience:

  • Experience working within a project delivery or technical environment.
  • Understanding of project controls such as planning, cost monitoring and reporting.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering or construction management principles.
  • Experience supporting risk management and stakeholder coordination.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • ONC or OND in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
  • Training in risk assessment or health and safety - Desirable.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts or project management systems - Desirable.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
