As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a skilled and dedicated team maintaining and repairing the vehicles that support our armed forces and emergency services. This is a full-time, permanent role based at Catterick, Leconfield or Newcastle. You’ll work 37 hours per week: Monday–Thursday (8 hours/day) and Friday (5 hours), with opportunities for overtime. Set working times are in place.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

What do I need?

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance
• Preferred: Experience with military vehicles or specialist equipment
• Ability to conduct road tests and complete technical documentation
• Background in a dealership, garage, or military vehicle maintenance
• Strong commitment to safety and precision
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and development
• Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, inspection, and repair
• Ability to obtain BPSS and SC security clearance

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
