As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a skilled and dedicated team maintaining and repairing the vehicles that support our armed forces and emergency services. From quad bikes to battle tanks, your work will directly contribute to national defence and public safety, making this a career with real purpose and impact.
This is a full-time, permanent role based at Catterick, Leconfield or Newcastle. You’ll work 37 hours per week: Monday–Thursday (8 hours/day) and Friday (5 hours), with opportunities for overtime. Set working times are in place.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
What do I need?
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance
- Preferred: Experience with military vehicles or specialist equipment
- Ability to conduct road tests and complete technical documentation
- Background in a dealership, garage, or military vehicle maintenance
- Strong commitment to safety and precision
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and development
- Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, inspection, and repair
- Ability to obtain BPSS and SC security clearance
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
