The role:
As a Driver, you’ll take on a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide essential transport services, driving a variety of military and civilian vehicles on and off road. This is your opportunity to support military operations and make a real impact while developing your skills in a dynamic environment.
Day to day, you’ll be:
- Driving military personnel and equipment around Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) Chatham sites, mainly via coach.
- Transporting personnel to locations across the UK on some occasions.
- Driving military and commercial vehicles that you are trained to operate.
- Carrying out standard maintenance on a wide range of military vehicles (training provided).
- Recording and maintaining training compliance.
This role is full time, working 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Brompton Barracks, Chatham.
Essential experience of the Driver:
- Customer focused with the ability to build positive working relationships.
Qualifications for the Driver:
- Coach / D licence is essential.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
