Sapphire Utility Solutions are delighted to announce that due to an increase in our contract with United Utilities, we are seeking a large number of HGV Operatives across the North West to support on our Bucket 1 works.
Location: Davyhulme covering Manchester
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (based on a 26 week rota)
Salary: £34,269-£38,542 per annum base salary (depending on experience)
On the job earnings: between £35,000-£55,000 per annum with overtime
Overtime rates: For weekday, weekend and Bank Holiday work paid at time and a half
About the Role
The role available will be working from the Davyhulme WWTW alongside a United Utilities Customer Support Technician, where you will be required to work on the Bucket 1 reactive contract solving problems on the sewer network. This role will be on a shift-based pattern with working times of 8am to 6pm front shift and 12pm to 10pm back shift. Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.
Responsibilities
- You will be working closely with a CST (UU Operative) to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities.
- Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales.
- Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
- Carry out all aspects of high pressure water jetting.
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
- Carry out CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
- Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes.
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
