In this training role, you’ll use your technical background to deliver high quality instruction, develop and update course materials, and support learners as they build the skills needed to work confidently across a range of military equipment. You’ll assess trainee progress through written and practical evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and help guide their development through coaching, mentoring, and targeted interventions. Day to day you’ll be required to:
- Prepare and deliver Workshop training modules including lesson planning and creation of teaching materials
- Deliver engaging training using technology enhanced learning where appropriate
- Assess trainee progress through written exams, practical assessments and ongoing evaluation
- Supervise trainees, maintain safe working practices and support learner development through coaching and guidance
- Maintain accurate learner records, documentation and audit ready files in line with MOD and Babcock requirements
The role is based onsite at MoD Lyneham, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.
Essential experience of the CNC Instructor:
- Experience of CNC machining, turning and milling
- Proven experience in a relevant working environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook packages (Computer literate)
Qualifications for the Workshop Instructor:
- A manufacturing related apprenticeship and/or qualification to a recognised Level 3, preferably in CNC machining, turning and/or milling
Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
