The Experis Academy for Babcock International has an exciting and unique opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to be trained and upskilled to become highly skilled Assistant Project Managers via their award-winning Train To Fit programme. Our Train to Fit programmes train and develop wider talent pools who work towards becoming permanent members of our industry-leading customer communities.
We are looking for ‘future leaders’ who demonstrate the right aptitude and attitude, to be trained and developed to own and deliver projects in complex and ever-changing environments, within our customer’s Nuclear Fleet Programmes at HMNB Clyde in Scotland. Successful candidates must be commercially astute and possess strong numerical, analytical, planning, and organisational skills. If you are looking to reskill or have a desire to develop your skills in project management, then this could be the opportunity for you. This is a challenging but rewarding role that will require outstanding decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Kickstart your journey with a 7-week intensive training programme that combines in-person instructor-led classes, scenario-based learning, and practical application workshops. You will receive best-in-class training within the project management framework, covering the full project lifecycle (scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality, and resource planning). The curriculum also covers essential soft skills like negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution - equipping you for a 12-month placement as an Experis employee within Babcock. Here, you’ll put your skills to use in a real-world environment with ongoing support and mentorship. Training will commence in August 2026.
Role of an Assistant Project Manager
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will take charge of essential project management tasks to ensure successful project delivery. You will assist in developing accurate financial and schedule estimates to keep the project on track. Your role will involve planning, monitoring, and managing work packages to ensure smooth execution. You will also create and share regular project reports to keep everyone informed. Additionally, you will manage communications and build strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
