The role
As a Lead Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role on the Sizewell C programme, one of the UK’s largest and most important nuclear infrastructure projects. This is a high-impact position where your leadership and insight will shape how a complex, multi-discipline project is planned, coordinated and delivered.
Day-to-day you’ll be required to:
- Own and maintain the integrated project schedule, ensuring alignment across all disciplines and workstreams.
- Lead critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, scenario planning and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and mentor planning engineers, promoting consistent standards, tools and reporting.
- Produce and present high-quality planning reports and forecasts to senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate planning workshops and collaborative sessions with project teams, partners and suppliers.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience planning large, complex projects or programmes.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments such as nuclear, energy, defence, infrastructure or rail.
- Strong, hands-on expertise using Primavera P6.
- Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring planning teams.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to multi-discipline programme delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (desirable).
- Recognised project management qualification such as APM, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
