The role:

As an Installation Technician, you’ll be hands‑on at the forefront of delivering critical engineering and technology solutions across defence and aerospace programmes. Working within our Mission Systems business, you’ll install, configure, and commission a range of electrical, mechanical and system-based equipment that supports vital national infrastructure projects. This is a varied and dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll work across different environments in the United Kingdom and overseas, developing your technical skills while contributing to meaningful, real‑world outcomes. Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Installing, testing and commissioning electrical, mechanical and integrated systems to meet project requirements
  • Supporting system integration activities across a variety of engineering environments
  • Following health and safety procedures to ensure safe delivery of installation work
  • Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality outcomes
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installation and commissioning phases

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based at Ashchurch, Gloucestershire.

Essential experience of the Installation Technician:

  • Demonstrate an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, SharePoint and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate and build strong working relationships with on‑the‑job learning and formal training.

Qualifications for the Installation Technician:

  • Have 18th edition BS7671 qualification or working towards this.
  • City & Guilds 2392 level 3 certificate of inspection and testing of electrical installations.
  • Time served electrical apprenticeship.
  • Must possess a full UK Driving Licence.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. Must be Sole UK National. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
