The role:
As an Advanced Scaffolder Inspector, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and integrity of temporary access structures that enable critical engineering and defence activities. Working within a highly regulated environment, your expertise will directly support the delivery of complex projects that protect and maintain vital national infrastructure. Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Conduct inspections of scaffolding structures to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Produce clear and accurate inspection reports, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure scaffolding is designed, erected, and maintained safely
- Monitor ongoing works to ensure continued compliance and safe working practices
- Support continuous improvement by promoting best practice and safety awareness
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Faslane. Travel to other Babcock and customer sites will be expected.
Essential experience:
- Demonstrating experience in scaffolding inspection within construction, engineering, or industrial environments
- Applying strong knowledge of scaffolding regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements
- Using excellent attention to detail to identify risks and ensure compliance
- Communicating effectively with a range of stakeholders across site operations
- Working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection qualification (essential)
- Relevant health and safety certification (such as NEBOSH or IOSH) is desirable

The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
